  • What you'll do

    Develop and own the definition of Product, its measure of success, and its commercialization strategy.

    Collect, document, translate, and validate clinical user needs and contexts.

    Translate hazy user needs and scenarios into crisp and measurable R&D requirements.

    Frequently evaluate rapid system prototypes in-house and with end-users to guide R&D strategy and decisions with objective measures of success.

    Assist the Strategy Lead, and Commercialization Lead in defining, measuring and achieving company wide Product goals through cross functional collaborative deliverables involving Product Management, Clinical Development Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams.

  • You'll need at least

    A Master's degree in BioMedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or an M.D. degree and equivalent practical experience.

    Experience leading Clinical Development Engineering function of a complicated medical robotics project to success under strict design controlled development environments.

    An M.D. degree, along with a BioMedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and an MBA, or equivalent practical experience.

    Experience leading Clinical Development Engineering or Product functions for multiple complicated image guided medical robotics projects to FDA (or equivalent) clearance as a Head of Clinical Development Engineering, or Head of Product under strict design controlled development environments.

    Experience leading size 1-5 member strong Clinical Development or Product Management teams.

    Experience collaborating closely with product, medical robotics, image guidance, engineering, marketing and sales teams.

    A deep interest in medical applications of robotics, and solving some of the world's grand health challenges along the way.

Embedded Systems Engineer, Sr.Santa Clara, CADetails
  • What you'll do

    Responsible for the design of various PC boards, especially PC boards tightly integrated with robotics.

    Work together with the FPGA programming team to provide full functionality for circuit design.

    Follow strict design control methods, from design specifications to design transfer and manufacturing.

    Write detailed design documentation, including specifications and verification plans.

    Provide engineering support for manufacturing, test engineering and on-site service.

    Perform other duties of electronic engineer as required.

  • You'll need at least

    A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Medical Robotics.

    Familiar with various electronic components and hardware, including analog power supply, FPGA, microcontroller, memory, logic, signal conditioning and communication interface.

    Experience in product-centric design of multi-layer PC boards, including actual experience of manual layout, start-up and debugging.

    Familiar with all stages of product development, including design, implementation, commissioning, verification, certification, manufacturing transfer and maintenance.

    Thorough understanding of component selection criteria, including reliability and manufacturability design.

    Excellent electronic design foundation, such as signal-to-noise ratio analysis, operational amplifier circuit, electromagnetic physics, RF and antenna design.

    Extensive experience in EMI / EMC compliance, reliability and manufacturability design.

    Experience in implementing analog circuits, such as small signal and instrumentation circuits, power supply design, motor driver or power supply.

    Experience in using CAD Capture, Allegro Layout, Verilog, Simulator and Agile.

    Excellent communication, standardization, teamwork and documentation skills.

    At least 5 years of experience working on multiple complicated image guided medical robotics projects under strict design controlled development environments.
